Canadian Centre for International Studies and Cooperation

Canadian Centre for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI (Centre Canadien d'Etude et de Cooperation Internationale)) - non-profit organization helping poor countries and communities, promoting human rights defence and know how exchange for development. Established in 1958 and based in Montreal, Canada.

The Centre is a member of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (CCIC), the Association québécoise des organismes de coopération internationale (AQOCI) and the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy. It also participates in several associations and networks, including the Groupe d’économie solidaire du Québec (GESQ), the Chantier de l’économie sociale du Québec, the Réseau québécois de développement local, the Montreal International Forum, the Small Enterprise Education and Promotion (SEEP) network in Washington, D.C. and the Réseau intercontinental de promotion de l’économie sociale solidaire (RIPESS) in Dakar.

CECI in partnership with other international agencies works in more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, the Americas, supported over 500 organizations in the developing world and implemented about 150 large-scale projects. It promulgates E-passerelle, monthly on line information, and "News from the field" bulletin, twice a year.[1]
